Russian men about Russian women
Russian men select as the most significant quality of Russian women - 18% their sincere soul and role of Russian women in a family –18%. Among sincere features (fidelity, reliability, care, keenness, ability to love) prevails fidelity (we have to recollect Pushkin Tatyana!). Characteristic examples: "Our fine Russian women will be... true bail to us, to men of Russia"; "Russian women besides, as a rule, are very honest, and the family turns out to be very strong".
Russian women – are the most popular brides in the world, Russian women combine set of the qualities promoting creation of a strong family, occasionally at all without realizing the assignment - to be the girlfriend, the faithful wife and loving mother.
Russian men mark that Russian women are beautiful (37% of contexts), even are fine (25%), are charming (25%) and Russian women take care of themselves (13%). The significance of Russian women (12%) underlines their exclusive role in the history and culture of Russia. So, the modern philologist and philosopher G.D.Gachev speaks about Russian women as about "the subject of Russian life". In some cases it is underlined, that exactly Russian women mirror a phenomenon of rich genofund. Exclusiveness of Russian women (12%) is marked also: it is perceived as a riddle (probably, "the mysterious Russian soul" is, first of all, Russian women soul), a miracle ("it is impossible to lose such miracle as our Russian women "), exclusiveness ("Russian women are the finest women of the world", etc.).
Among other characteristics we will mark courage of Russian women (6%), popularity of Russian women between men (6%), female destiny of Russian women (4%) and a pragmatism of Russian women also 4% (named "as a female share). We will notice that in this sampling negative character traits and behavior practically is absent. It does not mean that men idealize Russian women, the matter is that Russian men discuss, as a rule, women in general, instead of Russian women, therefore many and many statements have not got to sampling.
Foreign women about Russian women
It is marked that Russian women have serious competition in the marriage market that pose real threat for local women ("Russian women go" where "go" is understood as invasion which cannot be stopped). Natural response is charge of Russian women in immoral behavior (25% of all contexts): in unscrupulousness, in easy availability and in occupation by prostitution (for Russian women it is peculiar "to be engaged in prostitution and to earn in this way"). However foreign women mark beauty of Russian women (38% of contexts): "Russian women are beautiful; having come back home, at once you notice a difference" or "Men-policemen also have come under a spell of Russian women". One of the most discussed subjects is "passivity" of Russian women: "Why Russian women are so passive?" Americans and Canadians call Russian women for activity, ambitions, for aggressive type of behavior. But the nonaggressive behavior of Russian women also allows them be "excellent wives" for men who have got tired of emancipation in the West.
