Russian brides did nothing at home to improve the situation, and are just idly hoping for the destiny to give them a chance without any effort from their side. And speaking of the myths of Russian brides, this is a true myth. Among those Russian brides who marry the foreign men, there are many who had successful business in motherland, their own companies, good jobs and salaries, professional respect. Of course there are those Russian brides who cannot boast it all. Provincial towns cannot give a proper lifestyle, and the capitals do not guarantee high salaries for all the dwellers. Many Russian brides suffer from financial problems, do their best to feed their children, living on the funny salaries with their higher educations and high qualifications, selling food at the markets to survive. These Russian brides lead this lifestyle not because they are losers or lazybones or bunglers, but because their country put them in this situation. Russian brides are not to be blamed, but the state who brought its people to the edge of poverty and everyday's survival. Those Russian brides leaving abroad are not passively waiting, they are active and goal-oriented. The passive Russian brides remain sitting in their place, not wanting to leave or change something. This is not the hope for easy luck. It is a realistic life view on the world, native country, and other ones, giving more chances for Russian brides. Russian brides relocate abroad not because they believe they are losers and nobodies, but because they understand that those countries give better chances to find happiness and to build a new life.

Old and all the time repeated words that Russian brides leaving aboard are mercenary hunters for rich men. You can hear these words from two categories of people: 1- Russian men (easy to understand their angriness that they were not chosen), 2 - women furiously judging their fellow country women for mercenariness. These words can be easily referred to the people with lack of education and low cultural level. These are not intelligent people. The more severe they turn denouncing money-thirsty Russian brides, looking for men abroad, the clearer it is that they would never refuse to have a rich husband (as any woman in the world), but they know they will never succeed, and it makes them so violent. Quite often they are married Russian women, who cannot get rid of the husbands, or those who do not know the foreign language, and cannot marry themselves a well-to-do foreign man. This is a simple case of envy.This negative treatment of women towards Russian brides leaving abroad is alike the notion of provincial chauvinism'. These people were persuaded, that to strive to make money and to live in prosperity is bad, and that people should live only with spiritual interests (without mentioning that they also require money).These truth-fighters will ask "Why do Russian brides think that they are such unusual treasures, smart girls and beauties? Why do they think that they make the men happy through marriage? Why do Russian brides believe that the men will provide for them?" and they see this life view as exploitative. And they are sure this is not the basis for the happy marriage. They are also sure that the men who address the marriage agencies are not rich enough to provide for the unemployed Russian brides. And what if the truth is yet in intelligence, beauty, good education, loving and caring natures of Russian brides, who can make foreign men happy? What if Russian brides emotionally and spiritually give their husbands enough (besides of the salary which they might not need at all)? Why do we refuse our women in the ability to possess all these qualities at once? Why cannot Russian brides be the ones that bring happiness to men? Many foreign men believe it for happiness to have loving and caring, smart and beautiful Russian brides as wives. Many of the western men believe that the role of a man in the family is to provide for it, and they are ready to do it and can do it, without being rich. And they do not see it as egoistic consumption. They treat their Russian brides with due respect and love, and not like pretty toys.These truth-fighters believe that the Russian brides marry foreign men only in mercenary marriage, calculating their reasons. Don't people calculate on spiritual and intellectual features of the partners, on their physical harmony, on care and respect, on very manly ability to provide for the family? This is a very reasonable calculation, used by anyone, not just Russian brides. Unreasonable and dangerous for Russian brides can be the emigration to the country, where they do not have jobs, cannot speak the language, do not have the right to work until their diploma and certificates are re-assessed in the new country. 

Russian brides can first reach success and then look for the husband in the new country. But are there many who will manage it alone? Without support?The average western lifestyle is several times better than what the majority of Russian brides have. This is why they do not look for rich husbands. Hardworking kind loving men are more than they can dream of, as they will provide for them much better than it is possible in Russia. Russian brides do not hunt for millionaires, but will surely avoid lazy and not able to earn men, so abundant in Russia. They want the golden middle. This way Russian brides will be able to learn the language, to find job, and not to feel limited in anything. Life is different, and there are different surprises, which Russian brides try to avoid. Good reason only adds to the desire of love in Russian brides.
